This course is designed for undergraduate students. During this course, you will plunge into a comprehensive review of the main trends in political, economic, military and cultural interaction between the major powers and forces of the Indo-Pacific region. You will learn about the main characteristics and distinctive features of the Indo-Pacific region in comparison with other major regions of world politics. You will be able to study the key theories of international relations, as well as apply them to the analysis of international dynamics in the Indo-Pacific. Regarding the latter aspect, it should also be borne in mind that non-Western IR theory (especially from China and India) will also be subject to careful scrutiny.

Educational result

One of the main results of the course for you will be an understanding of the cornerstone imperatives of foreign policy and the interweaving interests of countries in Asia. You will achieve it through analysis of policy, security and economic priorities of major countries in the region. You understanding of the International Relations Theory also will increase.
