I did not like this for it not giving points once solved it doesnt make sense
How to use java to solve specific moderate problems I liked the flexibility with lectures and discussions I think there should be more resources for the Pa's they sort of leave us to our own and is much harder than the actual class material I needed 8a/8b for taking my upperdiv cogs machine learning classes also my data science minor
1. A majority of this course was new to me. I learned Python in a previous course, so some of the concepts similar to Python were easier to understand. 2. I liked the examples that were used in the lessons and feel that they were good at helping students to grasp the concepts and apply real-world applications. 3. At parts, the questions were confusing and frustrating. Maybe that's just how programming is. Improvements wise, I would add more coding problems into the course. I feel like these might be better for learning than multiple-choice. 4. This course was chosen by my professor, but I assume that he chose it because it was more detailed than some of the other courses offered.
Instructions can get confusing at times. didn't like the multiple choice parts. Content is very helpful and very informative. Couldve wished they added additional notes into the course material a bit better
1.) In this course, I learned more about Java and how to navigate through different and interesting topics. Everything was practically new because I had never been introduced to Java before. 2) I liked the examples that were provided in each section/chapter. It really enriches the experience. 3) There were some examples and even topics that didn't make much sense. For example, on some of the Array examples, I didn't know what they would even ask me to do. It may be a skill issue, but I think some topics were way too abstract and hard to understand. 4) I chose this one because my class needs me to take it.
This was a bad course, out of order and doesn't teach a lot
This course along with instruction at an institution has taught me the basics of coding not just in Java, but coding in general. The lessons are interactive and, for the most part, very straightforward. The only parts that I did not like were when 1) We first started using the terminal; Stepic was not very clear on the fact that files must be compiled, and THEN run and 2) Assignments where correctness was based off of indentations of curly braces. The course required me to complete up to 13.5 of Stepik, and it was very useful.
