The course also includes short texts on psychology, ecotherapy, plants, urban nature and health. Short learning tests follow the lessons, and learner feedback will help improve future versions through Feedbacks Lab.

This course is intended for English speakers who are beginning Kazakh from zero or returning to basic knowledge. It may be useful for new residents of Kazakhstan, visitors, tourists, students, volunteers, teachers, researchers and professionals who need Kazakh for everyday communication, work, study or life in the country.
No previous knowledge of Kazakh is required.

- Learners need enough English to understand the explanations and translations.
- An internet-connected computer, tablet or smartphone is required.
- A computer browser is recommended for the full tooltip experience because the translations open when the pointer hovers over a word.
- The lessons and tests can still be read and completed on a smartphone, but dense word tooltips are primarily designed for desktop browsers.
- Installing every application mentioned in the course is optional.
- No special musical, artistic or linguistic training is required.
- A willingness to read aloud, repeat short phrases and make mistakes is more important than prior grammar knowledge.

Как проходит обучение
Learning is built around practical words, phrases, short dialogues and everyday situations. Learners read Kazakh-English pairs, reveal word meanings with desktop tooltips, repeat Kazakh phrases aloud, change them by analogy and use them in personal examples.
Lessons combine explanatory texts, bitexts, cumulative substitution, a practical phrasebook, language games, applications, films, AI-assisted activities and short tests. The tests teach as well as assess: the feedback explains why an answer is correct and distinguishes similar Kazakh expressions.
You may study at your own pace. Beginners will usually find it easier to follow the lessons in order, but individual thematic lessons may also be used separately.
