This course sharpened how I evaluate claims in daily life — especially the criteria for distinguishing science from pseudoscience (falsifiability, reproducibility, peer review) and the different truth standards across modern vs. postmodern thinking. The idea of deconstruction as a tool for examining stereotypes and cultural narratives was completely new to me and genuinely shifted how I read media and everyday assumptions. What I liked most was the practical, applied approach — instead of abstract philosophy, the tasks pushed me to actually construct arguments, spot logical fallacies, and analyze real narrative structures (like the hero/other axis in films). That made the concepts stick. A weak point: some matching/sorting exercises were ambiguous, with correct answers that felt like they hinged on very specific lecture phrasing rather than pure logic — a bit more clarity or examples in the video before those tasks would help. I chose this course because I wanted a structured, evidence-based way to think more critically, both for my work and daily reasoning — and it delivered exactly that.
