The course was developed at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The course is designed to form students ' knowledge of the theoretical provisions of financial analysis and practical skills of its implementation. In the process of studying the course, a significant place is given to the study and skills of using the accounting records of the organization as an information base for financial analysis, the formation of a system of analytical characteristics of the performance of organizations, the preparation and adoption of sound management decisions aimed at improving the system of planning and control over the activities of various economic entities, taking into account their specifics.
