I really enjoyed this course. I already knew some Linear Algebra, but this course helped me connect many ideas that I had previously studied separately. I especially liked the parts about eigenvalues, eigenvectors, inner product spaces, orthogonalization, QR, SVD, polar decomposition, and the structure of linear operators.
What I liked most was that the course makes you think. It is not just about memorizing formulas; many exercises ask you to understand the reasoning, complete proofs, and solve problems in different ways. Some of them were challenging, but that also made them satisfying to finish.
If I had to mention one weak point, it would be the answer editor in some exercises. Sometimes the mathematics is clear, but finding the exact syntax expected by the platform can be frustrating. A few more examples of accepted input formats would make the experience smoother.
I chose this course because I wanted something more serious than a basic introductory course. I wanted to improve both my problem-solving skills and my theoretical understanding of Linear Algebra. Overall, I think it was a very good choice and I learned a lot.
Лучший курс по линейной алгебре из всех, какие мне попадались. Начинается с каких-то элементарных школьных основ и взлетает до самых высот. Очень качественно и последовательно излагается материал. Задания, где предлагается самостоятельно доказать теорему - просто шик)
This is really very well constructed course. With right amount of efforts and struggling you definetly can get the maximum from it and to learn (or maybe, what is more suitable, refresh) linear alebgra more fundamentally than on other courses I've seen. The main problem of the course is that, especially in the last steps, it looks like a dead valley with tumbleweeds. There is noone to check your solutions or to help you with exercises: I was reviewing some solutions older than 3 years. But nevertheless, you should definitely try it, if you want to have a good picture of linear algebra in your mind.
The best linear algebra course I have seen so far. Starting from very basics soon you'll get to super advanced subjects. Be ready to struggle on your own, since certain subjects require you to do your own research. There are even tasks to prove theorems. That is what many courses lack, but not this one. The main disadvantage of the course is the cross review system, but I understand that one can't create an automatic proof verification system, so we had to rely on peer review.
Interesting and useful course.
Course has more practical than theoretical profile. Course is perfect for those who has already learnt material to refresh memory using interesting and sometimes complicated tasks. There are some "spoiler hints" from a course team for most complicated tasks which helps you to understand hard things step by step by yourself.
It is possible to learn "from zero" using this course, but it is not about watching a lot of videos. There are a lot of text pages with proofs of theorems. Sometimes it is really helpful to use google. But, strictly saying, it is unneccessary (but sometimes it is hard to understand material without it).Be ready to work hard and you will be enjoyed with course like i did! Good Luck!
